Say no to Swansea Council’s car parking charges plans | Dywedwch na i gynlluniau codi taliadau ym meysydd parcio Cyngor Abertawe

Swansea Council has proposed charging fees for people to park in the council owned car parks in areas like Gorseinon and Morriston.

Car parks are currently free to use in Gorseinon and if local businesses and our local high streets are to be fully supported, it is important that parking remains free so that residents can easily access local businesses.

If parking charges are introduced this will make accessing local businesses more difficult and could mean more people drive to out of town shopping centres.

It is crucial that our local high streets get as much support as possible.

That is why I have launched a petition calling on Swansea Council to halt any plans to introduce any charges for parking in Gorseinon and ask that the Council clarify their position immediately.

You can access my petition below, print it out, sign it along with your friends and family and then either return it to me by Freepost to “FREEPOST, Suzy Davies AM, National Assembly for Wales” or by sending it to my Swansea office at “Suzy Davies AM, Cornhill Chambers, 8 Christina Street, Swansea, SA1 4EW.”

Please note that post to my Swansea office is unable to returned via freepost.

Alternatively you can sign a copy of my petition in some of your local shops in Gorseinon.

You can also have your say by telling Swansea Council to not introduce car parking charges by taking part in their consultation HERE

Swansea Council’s consultation is open until 5pm on 1st February 2019

Mae Cyngor Abertawe wedi cynnig codi tâl i bobl barcio ym meysydd parcio'r cyngor mewn ardaloedd fel Gorseinon a Threforys.

Ar hyn o bryd, mae meysydd parcio yn rhad ac am ddim i'w defnyddio yn Gorseinon ac os yw busnesau lleol a'n strydoedd uchel lleol yn cael eu cefnogi'n llawn, mae'n bwysig bod parcio'n parhau'n rhad ac am ddim fel bod modd i drigolion fanteisio ar fusnesau lleol yn rhwydd.

Os cyflwynir taliadau parcio, bydd hyn yn golygu bod mynediad i fusnesau lleol yn fwy anodd a gallai olygu bod mwy o bobl yn gyrru i ganolfannau siopa y tu allan i'r dref.

Mae'n hollbwysig bod ein strydoedd uchel lleol yn cael cymaint o gefnogaeth â phosib.

Dyna pam yr wyf wedi lansio deiseb yn galw ar Gyngor Abertawe i atal unrhyw gynlluniau i gyflwyno taliadau am barcio yn Gorseinon a gofyn i'r Cyngor egluro eu sefyllfa ar unwaith.

Gallwch dod o hyd i fy nheiseb isod, ei hargraffu, ei harwyddo ynghyd â'ch ffrindiau a'ch teulu ac yna dychwelwch i mi trwy Rhadbost i "RHADBOST, Suzy Davies AC, Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru" neu drwy ei anfon at fy swyddfa yn Abertawe yn "Suzy Davies AC, Siambrau Cornhill, 8 Christina Street, Abertawe, SA1 4EW."

Noder na all y post i'm swyddfa yn Abertawe ddychwelyd trwy'r rhadbost.

Fel arall, gallwch chi lofnodi copi o'm ddeiseb mewn rhai o'ch siopau lleol yn Gorseinon.

Gallwch hefyd ddweud eich dweud wrth ddweud wrth Gyngor Abertawe i beidio â chyflwyno taliadau parcio ceir trwy gymryd rhan yn eu hymgynghoriad YMA

Mae ymgynghoriad Cyngor Abertawe ar agor tan 5yh ar 1 Chwefror 2019
