One of the Assembly Committees that I am a member of; the Culture, Welsh Language & Communications Committee; is holding a consultation the find out what you would like to see it investigate and discuss during the next five years.

Bridgend County Borough Council is holding a review into de-pedestrianising parts of Bridgend town centre.This plan includes re-introducing traffic to Queen Street, Dunraven Place, and Market Street. Mae Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Pen-y-yn cynnal adolygiad i rannau ddad-bedestreiddio canol tref Penybont.Mae'r cynllun hwn yn cynnwys ailgyflwyno traffig i Heol y Frenhines, Dunraven Place, a Stryd y Farchnad.

‘Tipyn Bach’ scheme could stimulate use of Welsh | Gallai cynllun ‘Tipyn Bach’ ysgogi defnydd o’r Gymraeg

With the Eisteddfod underway, Shadow Secretary for the Welsh language Suzy Davies AM has said that unless children in Welsh-medium primary schools in areas where less Welsh is spoken hear the language used in everyday life, they will be reluctant to use it themselves. Â’r Eisteddfod wedi cychwyn, dywedodd Ysgrifennydd yr Wrthblaid dros y Gymraeg Suzy Davies AC, oni bai bod plant mewn ysgolion cynradd cyfrwng Cymraeg mewn ardaloedd lle na siaredir y Gymraeg mor aml yn clywed yr iaith yn cael ei defnyddio mewn bywyd bob dydd, fe fyddan nhw’n fwy cyndyn i ddefnyddio’r iaith eu hunain.

Last week Fairwood Fabrications has ceased trading with the loss of 66 jobs.   The Port Talbot based company had already lost 250 jobs in January of this year due to, it claims, uncertainty around the steel industry.Yr wythnos diwethaf Fairwood Fabrications wedi rhoi'r gorau i fasnachu gan golli 66 o swyddi.Mae'r cwmni o Bort Talbot eisoes wedi colli 250 o swyddi ym mis Ionawr eleni oherwydd, mae'n honni, ansicrwydd o amgylch y diwydiant dur.

The Welsh Government is currently holding a consultation into improving the Welsh Language services that Welsh speakers expect to get when using the Welsh NHS.Ar hyn o bryd mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn cynnal ymgynghoriad ar wella gwasanaethau Cymraeg bod siaradwyr Cymraeg yn disgwyl ei gael wrth ddefnyddio'r GIG yng Nghymru.
