Suzy Davies was born in Swansea, and grew up in Bridgend, Aberdare, Cardiff and Brecon. A graduate of Exeter and Glamorgan universities, she is married with two sons. After a career in marketing and management, she became a solicitor.

She has trained as a mentor for young offenders and has mentored with Prime Cymru. Suzy has also been a trustee of a number of children’s projects and volunteered with community support groups. She’s also written for various publications and was one of the founding board members of the Welsh International Film Festival.

Suzy was first elected in May 2011 and was re-elected in 2016. She is currently the Shadow Secretary for Social Services, Older People, and Welsh Language. She also serves as a Commissioner for the National Assembly.

Suzy has a keen interest in social enterprise and its contribution to a balanced economy in Wales. She is Chair of the Cross Party Group on Tourism and attends many other Cross Party Groups.

Fe gaeth Suzy ei geni ym Abertawe, a'i magu ym Mhen-Y-Bont ar Ogwr, Aberdâr, Caerdydd ac Aberhonddu. Yn raddedig o brifysgolion Caerwysg a Morgannwg, mae hi'n briod gyda dau fab. Ar ôl gyrfa yn marchnata a rheoli, fe ddaeth yn cyfreithiwr.

Mae hi wedi hyfforddi fel mentor i droseddwyr ifanc ac wedi mentora gyda 'Prime Cymru'. Mae Suzy hefyd wedi bod yn ymddiriedolwr ar nifer o brosiectau ac wedi gwirfoddoli gyda cymorth grwpiau cymunedol. Mae hi hefyd wedi ysgrifennu amrywiaeth o gyhoeddiadau ac oedd un o'r aelodau bwrdd sefydlu o'r Gŵyl Ffilm Ryngwladol Cymru.

Gaeth Suzy ei hethol yn gyntaf ym Mai 2011 a'i ail ethol yn 2016. Ar hyn o bryd hi yw'r Ysgrifennydd Cysgodol dros Wasanaethau Cymdeithasol, Pobl Hŷn, a'r Iaith Gymraeg. Mae hi hefyd yn gwasanaethu fel Comisiynydd y Cynulliad Cenedlaethol.

Mae gan Suzy diddordeb yn menter gymdeithasol ac ei gyfraniad tuag at economi cytbwys yng Nghymru. Mae hi yn Cadeirio'r Grŵp Trawsbleidiol ar Dwristiaeth ac yn mynychu nifer o Grŵpiau trawsbleidiol arall.
